Melissa Goulding - Maid of Honour
Melissa is Amy’s older sister and lifelong role model — mainly due to her thriving side career in decoding cloud patterns and ranking tide pools by “vibes.”
Based in Nanaimo, BC, she works as a dental hygienist by day and trains her dog, Ivy, to identify government drones disguised as seagulls by night.
Amy feels incredibly lucky to have her not only as a sister, but also as the family’s unofficial wilderness guide and essential oils consultant.
Jessie Millar - Best Man
Jessie is Mickey’s cousin’s fiancé and a proud member of the extended family chaos committee. Originally from Prince George, he now spends his time “running” a helicopter ski company, Crescent Spur — which mostly involves pointing at mountains, checking the vibes, and confidently saying, “yeah that one looks steep.”
Jessie enjoys revving snowmobiles unnecessarily, owning at least six pairs of identical sunglasses, and insisting he “almost went pro” in something no one can verify.
Known for his easygoing nature and elite ability to laugh at his own jokes before finishing them, Jessie is the perfect person to stand by Mickey’s side on this big day.
Samantha Goulding - Bridesmaid
Samantha is Amy’s younger sister and longtime personal assistant (self-appointed). She currently resides in Nanaimo, where she splits her time between working in the optical department at Costco and operating an underground crystal trading ring out of her trunk.
While finishing school to become an optician, Samantha has also taken it upon herself to become certified in aura reading, parallel parking, and identifying red flags in under 30 seconds.
In her spare time, she enjoys teaching her dog Polly how to ignore basic commands, reorganizing other people’s kitchens without permission, and insisting she could “definitely land a plane if she had to.”
Amy feels incredibly lucky to have her standing beside her on this special day.
Wyatt Main - Groomsman
Wyatt is Mickey’s older brother. By day, he works as an engineer in Lethbridge, and by night (and weekends) he enjoys ranching, fixing things that weren’t broken, and explaining torque to anyone who makes eye contact.
In his spare time, he is a devoted husband to Tabitha, loving father to Noah, and part-time thermostat adjuster — often lowering it by one degree and waiting to see if anyone notices.
Known for his reliability, strong opinions on fence posts, and ability to stand silently with his hands on his hips while assessing situations, Wyatt is exactly the kind of person you want in your corner — especially if something needs to be unnecessarily reinforced.
We’re so glad he’s standing with Mickey today.
Charlie Main - Groomsman
Charlie is Mickey’s cousin and a man who has never once read an instruction manual in his life. He works as an underwater firefighter, but keeps his weekends busy as an emergency banana consultant.
Rumour has it he once tried to fix a toaster with a hammer, owns several items he’s convinced are “still under warranty,” and spends his spare time training mosquitos for endurance races.
Charlie enjoys leaning on things that shouldn’t be leaned on, saying “I’ll just eyeball it,” and confidently assuring everyone that “it’s probably fine” moments before it very much is not. He has mastered the art of stealth bubble wrap popping.
His great skills have contributed to our party immensely and we are so lucky to have him next to us.
Miranda Hawke - Bridesmaid
Miranda is one of Amy’s close friends and an all-around solid human being. By day, she works as a part-time candle scent tester and full-time overthinker, with a strong passion for making detailed plans that may or may not be followed. In her spare time, she enjoys falling down very specific internet rabbit holes and insisting she’s only staying for one drink.
She’s always good for a laugh, great advice, and being exactly where you need her to be. We’re so happy she’s here to celebrate with us today.
Adam Pohl - Groomsman
Adam is Mickey’s cousin and one of our groomsmen — and someone who always keeps things interesting. By day, he works as a junior storm-chasing consultant, and by night, he’s been known to take his role as family trivia champion very seriously. He has strong opinions about breakfast foods, claims he can “fix that” with absolutely no prior experience, and somehow always ends up in charge of the music.
Adam brings a big personality, great humour, and just the right amount of chaos to any gathering. We’re so glad he’s here to celebrate with us today.
Mike Coons - Groomsman
Mike is Mickey’s cousin and one of our groomsmen — widely known for his eccentric lifestyle and deeply confusing personal projects. He currently works as a freelance map critic and once tried to start a small business selling pre-sharpened pencils door-to-door. Mike firmly believes that soup is a beverage, has at least three alarms labelled “don’t trust the geese,” and is always prepared with a pocketful of loose trail mix.
In his spare time, he enjoys ranking household appliances by “vibe” and claims he could survive in the wilderness with nothing but a spoon and positive thinking. We’re so glad he’s here to celebrate with us today.
Savanna Somerville - Bridesmaid
Savanna is best known for her mysterious hobbies and commitment to mildly concerning side quests. She currently works as a part-time ladder inspector and amateur bird negotiator.
Savanna is someone who makes decisions that would concern a licensed professional. She owns at least one item she bought at 2 AM “for survival purposes,” has strong opinions about which spoons are the best spoons, and always has an ongoing feud with at least one inanimate object.
Savanna is convinced she could win an argument with a moose, but would absolutely leave the room if a mouse was involved.
We are so lucky to have Savanna with us on our special day.
Richard Mills - Groomsman
Richard is Mickey’s cousin and one of our groomsmen — and, unofficially, an international man of mystery. His exact line of work remains unclear.
Richard firmly believes that time is a social construct, owns at least one hat for every possible mood, and refuses to make eye contact with self-checkout machines.
In his spare time, he enjoys alphabetizing things that don’t need to be alphabetized and claims he once outran a lawnmower. We’re so glad he’s here to celebrate with us today.
Emma Freeman - Bridesmaid
Emma is Mickey’s cousin and Amy’s bridesmaid, and a proud professional dabbler in occupations that may or may not exist. Over the years, she has worked as a seasonal platypus midwife and an entry-level fog technician.
In her spare time Emma enjoys training squirrels to respect boundaries, and restoring furniture she claims to be "too emotional". She claims to have once won a regional arm-wrestling tournament against a man named Diesel, speaks conversational Morse code, and maintains that she was briefly followed by a crow that “understood her intentions.”
We’re incredibly grateful to have Emma with us today, mostly because she has already identified three potential hazards and one opportunity for snacks.
Tyler Fortier - Groomsman
Tyler is many things, a groomsman, a wildcard, and a man whose resume cannot be legally verified in any country. Tyler has spent his life collecting many jobs and talents including: a temporary lighthouse keeper and a certified llama whisperer.
There's a persistent rumour that Tyler once fixed a broken truck using nothing but emotional support. Tyler also believes that fortune cookies are legally binding contracts. Despite the chaos, Tyler is fiercely loyal, dangerously helpful in emergencies and somehow always the guy you want standing next to you when things get weird... Which they absolutely will.
Alice And Jeff - Masters of Ceremonies
Alice and Jeff are Mickey’s cousins and our dynamic MC duo for the evening. This married couple brings big personalities, an incredible sense of humour, and just the right amount of chaos wherever they go. By day, he works as a wildlife relocation specialist, while she is a competitive dog groomer turned interior plant consultant — but together, their true talent lies in entertaining a crowd.
They once won a community chili cook-off using a slow cooker they borrowed five minutes before the deadline, have strong opinions about road trip snacks, and firmly believe that every event is improved by a good playlist and questionable dance moves. Lighthearted and always fun to be around, we couldn’t think of a better pair to keep the evening running smoothly
